Q. What grades are available?

A. Lake City Academy currently offers Pre-school through 8th Grade.

Q. What is the minimum age requirement for your Pre-Kindergarten program?

A. Half-day pre-K students must be 3.5 years of age by Sept. 1. Full-day pre-K students must be 4 years of age by Sept. 1.

Q. What are your school day hours?

A. 8:15am - 3:15pm, Monday - Thursday, and 8:15am - 12:15pm, Friday.

Q. Is Early-Morning Care & After-School Care offered?

A. Yes, Early-Morning Care begins at 7:30am. After-School Care runs from 3:15p - 6:00p, Monday - Thursday, and 12:15p - 3:00p, Friday.

Q. Are you an accredited school?

A. Lake City Academy is accredited for Preschool through 8th grade by the Accrediting Association of Seventh-day Adventist Schools, which is recognized by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools, the National Council for Private School Accreditation, and the State of Idaho. In addition, our K-8th teachers are fully credentialed and our Early Childhood program is state certified.

Q. What faith or church are you affiliated with?

A. Lake City Academy is owned by the Upper Columbia Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and is operated by the local constituent Adventist Churches under the auspices and in harmony with the policies of its owners. The School Board is comprised of representatives from these churches and meets regularly to review operation and to formulate plans for the continued pursuit of excellence in Adventist Christian education.

A. Lake City Academy has been educating and serving the Coeur d'Alene community since 1909.

Q. Do you have a hot lunch program?

A. Though our in-house Hot Lunch program is on pause for the time being, we have partnered with Dominos Pizza as well as Las Brasas Mexican Grill, to provide a lunch option of Bean & Cheese Burritos on Wednesdays, and Cheese Pizza on Thursdays. Students need to bring a sack lunch on Mondays and Tuesdays.
