Laura Silva

Mrs. Carman

Hi! My name is Lynsey Carman, I went to Pacific Union College and got my B.S. in Early Childhood Education. I went on from college to spend one year working at a local daycare. I started teaching kindergarten here at LCJA in August 2015 and I LOVE it!

Mrs. Via

My name is Lauren Via and I just recently moved to the area. I grew up in New Jersey but have spent the majority of my teaching career down south in Louisiana. I graduated from Andrews University with my Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. I love teaching! When I’m not in my classroom you can probably find me playing with my two adorable dogs or doing something outdoors.

Mrs. Honner

My name is Margo Honner. I have a BS in Elementary Education and a BS in Speech Pathology & Audiology. I have also completed a masters in Curriculum & Instruction. I have been here at Lake City Jr. Academy since 1995. I enjoy teaching kiddos at ALL grade levels, and have had the opportunity to teach K through 8 at LCJA. I enjoy spending time with family & friends, traveling, walking, going on bicycle rides, baking, playing the piano, gardening, and many other things!

Mrs. Roberts

I graduated from Southwestern University in Keene, Texas in 1988. I immediately began my teaching career in educating children in many diverse learning environments. I have been all over the Northwest from the beautiful big sky country of Montana to scenic Western Washington, down to the potato fields of Southern Idaho and finally to the Great Northwest of Northern Idaho, and I have taught many different grades and combination classrooms. I have been on staff here at Lake City Junior Academy since 1997. I met and married my husband, Robin Roberts here in Coeur d’Alene. He supports my teaching career in many ways. It is not uncommon to see the both of us working in my classroom during the school year. I have been blessed with a loving and devoted husband, an adoring step-son, Tanner, and 2 fur babies named Nimshi and Felix. I enjoy many things that life has to offer. After my love of teaching comes my love to be outside. Gardening, kayaking, hiking, working on my classroom website, and feeling the wind while riding with my husband on our motorcycle are just a few of my joys.

Mr. Roberts

Ahoy there!

I grew up in Missoula Montana, so I enjoy many of the hobbies that living in the inland Northwest fosters.  I love the outdoors– camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, and any number of winter sports.  I received a BA in History, a BS in Elementary Education, and my Masters from Walla Walla University.

Mr. Heald

Hello! My name is Geoff Heald, and I have been the homeroom teacher for grades 7&8 at LCJA since 2004. Before moving to Idaho, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s degree in Education, both from Pacific Union College in northern California. My wife and I have two kids, and our favorite thing to do is taking road-trips to visit national parks. I also love food, books, music, movies, and teaching!

Mr. Bibb

I’m new to LCJA, as I recently graduated from Walla Walla University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. Due to my upbringing in the Northwest, I enjoy summer camp, biking, hammocking, and cooking.

Mr. Weeks

Greetings! I am proud to be the principal of LCJA. I have worked at a number of different schools over the course of my career, and I can honestly say that LCJA is the best! I have been here since 2016.

Ms. Bush

My name is Sharon Bush, and I am the librarian. I love books and I love kids, so this is a great job for me!

Mrs. Trevena

Hi! My name is Jessica Trevena, but a lot of kids call me Coach. I love volleyball, cooking, and kids!

Mrs. Davis

I’m Cambria Davis, and I am the music teacher at LCJA. I lead choir, band, chimes, and boomwhackers! When I’m not at school, I enjoy traveling and powerlifting. Seriously.

Mr. Halversen

My name is Jonny Halversen. I’ve worked in the educational system for over twenty years. I enjoy graphic design, volleyball, games, and freestyle kite-fishing. But the most important things in my life are my five kids, my wife, and my God.

Mrs. Perry

Hi my name is Amy Perry.  I am the Administrative Assistant.  I grew up in Walla Walla, WA.  My husband Andrew and I, along with our 2 amazing kids, Ella and Lyncoln,  moved to Idaho in 2014.  I love animals, I have 7 of them!  Winter is my favorite season and moose are my favorite animal!  I love Jesus with my whole heart and I strongly believe in Christian education.  I am very blessed to be a part of the LCJA family!
